The Director General of the British Chamber of Commerce visit's Manuflex.

Manuflex was delighted to welcome David Frost, the Director General of the British Chamber of Commerce and were equally delighted to receive Rupert Cox Chief Executive of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.

Both guests spent time with Manuflex Managing Director, Ray Stewart. In a wide ranging discussion topics covered trading conditions, Apprenticeships, Banking, education and current business activities.

Mr Stewart thanked his guests for their time and will meet with them later in the day at a celebration dinner in honour of Mr Frost.

Two Manuflex systems on TV

Two vessels featured on the recently shown "All at Sea" TV program shown on ITV. The two boats were the 102 (see below) and the Sunseeker 52.

Each with 3 man celebrity crews the vessels sailed the South Coast and enjoyed or endured differing weather conditions.

"The Spitfire of the seas rides again......."

A Manuflex product features strongly in an article in the Mail on Sunday telling the story of HSL 102.

Manuflex was asked to make the exhaust sytem for the Boat and a picture of the engine room clearly shows our system in place.

Manuflex:- Apprenticeship Roll of Honour

As a long term supporter of apprentices, Manuflex Limited has been included in the national database for apprenticeships which can be viewed at www.apprenticeships.org.uk/employers/roll-of-honour.aspx

Manuflex is proud of its record of continuing support for apprentices and have had at least one apprentice in training at any one time for the last ten years.

   

Manuflex at METS 2009.

Another successful year at METS, Ian and Robert report that this was our most successful METS yet having held meetings with existing customers, worked closely with our colleagues Bill and Bert from Centek Industries and had detailed meetings with new potential customers. The mood was up beat and visitor numbers seemed to up from last year.

   

Manuflex to exhibit at METS 2009!

For the fifth year running Manuflex is proud to exhibiting along side its associates from

Centek Industries on stand 11.508.

The Marine Equipment Trade Show, held this year from 17th November to 19th November at the RAI Amsterdam, is the largest and most prestigious event of its kind in the world.

   

Manuflex wins important overseas orders.

It was at METS last year that Manuflex first spoke with Dockstavarvet based in Norway.

As a result of that initial discussion; quotations were requested and designs were drawn up for a new Pilot vessel powered by Volvo D16 Engines. Orders were placed and successful sea trails resulted in further enquiries not only from Norway but also other Scandinavian countries.

   

Manuflex have moved premises.

On 1st July 2009 Manuflex moved to new premises, the Company's new address is:-

One A, Commerce Way, Walrow Industrial Estate, Highbridge, Somerset TA9 4AG

All other contact details will remain unchanged.

Managing Director Ray Stewart would like to thank all the staff involved in the move as they made a difficult job easier than it might have been.

   

Manuflex once again exhibited at SeaWork 2009.                                                                                       This event, held annually in Southampton, ran from Tuesday 16th June through to Thursday 18th June. All three Company representatives; Robert Tombs, Duncan Britton and Ian Mereweather reported that all three days were very busy and good contact was made with new and existing customers from both the UK and overseas. Whilst the show was successful the car parking arrangements were not and many visitors were very disappointed but nevertheless enjoyed the show.
